Beauty Diploma Pathway
This is a unique, three-part program especially designed to prepare students to transition seamlessly to the completion of SHB50115 Diploma in Beauty Therapy.
In Part One, as you embark on your hands-on learning journey, you will have support to enhance or improve your study skills and develop a firm footing for future career opportunities by building vital skills in small business development and management, putting you ahead of the game. In Part One, students will complete FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways.
Part Two will see you move to SHB30115 Certificate III in Beauty Services, taking your studies to the next level in preparation for the Diploma.
In Part Three you will complete your Pathway and tackle the remaining units from SHB50115 Diploma in Beauty Therapy, confident and prepared for the challenge of study at the Diploma level with credit transfers for units already completed in parts one and two.

Beauty Pathway Program

In Part 2, whilst continuing with the hands-on beauty industry skills development, students will complete FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways which will assist you to develop a firm footing for future career opportunities by building vital skills in the Beauty Industry, putting you ahead of the game.

This course reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings who work within the
requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.
They support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children’s wellbeing, learning and development.

CPR (Refresher)
This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to make you confident and competent to perform CPR. Course content includes management of the unconscious casualty, resuscitation techniques and infection control.
On successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment in HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Literacy Support

First Aid
This course describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualties, the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. Learn simple effective techniques to deal with common medical emergency situations including CPR techniques. Participants are required to complete an online theory module prior to attending the course and should be prepared to allow 4-6 hours to complete this pre-course requirement. Hard copy resources are available for those without reliable internet access.
On successful completion you will receive Statements of Attainment in:
- HLTAID003 Provide first aid
- HLTAID001 Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTAID002 Provide basic emergency life support.
PRE REQUISITES
To be found competent, you must be observed performing at least 4 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on both an adult and an infant manikin placed on the floor.
You will be required to have the necessary level of health and fitness to perform this task.

Please be aware: After Booking into a course, Online Workbooks are sent manually by our Admin Staff (Hardcopy workbooks available Mon-Fri, 8:30am to 4:30pm)- bookings made after 4:30pm, will not receive online workbooks until the following business day - Please ensure you enrol allowing adequate time to receive your workbook before your course.
It will not be possible for bookings made the night before a course OR over the weekend (prior to a Monday course) to receive their workbook before the day of training.

First Aid in an education and care setting
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required by educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies, for infants, children and adults. This unit incorporates HLTAID003 Apply first Aid and this is a pre-requisite to HLTAID004. If you do not not have the HLTAID003 then to do both is $215. If you do then the cost for this course is only $65. You must show the trainer your First Aid certificate in the session.
On successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment in HLTAID004 - Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting.

Forklift Licence Preparation
This course is designed to provide eligible participants assistance to successfully complete a Forklift Licence by helping you learn the theory before you have to sit for your licence.
If you are experiencing barriers such as lack of employabilty skills, high Language, Literacy and Numeracy needs or are experiencing persistent and ongoing personal issues, you will receive additional assistance to prepare to undertake the accredited Forklift Licence training with another provider.
Successful graduates from this program will be sponsored by Port Macquarie Community College to undertake their Forklift Drivers Training.

MakerSpace - Construction Pathway
These transition programs are designed to provide educational options for young people who need some time to decide whether to choose a vocational pathway to employment, or whether they want to set themselves a goal to get back into study and join a pathway to higher learning including University.
They are programs which will prepare participants to stay engaged in education, support the development of literacy and numeracy skills, and increase confidence.

OHS White Card
This unit of competency specifies the mandatory work health and safety training required prior to undertaking construction work. The unit requires the person to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others. It covers identifying and orally reporting common construction hazards, understanding basic risk control measures, and identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies. It also covers correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.
This unit meets the general construction induction training requirements of:
- Part 1.1 Definitions and Part 6.5 of the Model Work Health and Safety Regulations;
- Division 11 of Part 3 of the Occupational Safety and Health Regulations 1996 for Western Australia; and
- Division 3 of Part 5.1 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2007 for Victoria.
It is expected that site-specific induction training will be conducted prior to conducting construction work.
It is now a national requirement that anyone entering a construction site holds the WHS Whitecard.On successful completion you will receive a statement of attainment in CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry

Prepare & Serve Espresso Coffee
In this accredited course you will learn hands on preparation and presentation of coffees such as latte and cappuccino using a commercial espresso machine. Course includes organising your work area, providing customer service, grinding coffee, extracting coffee, texturing milk, serving coffee plus daily cleaning and maintenance procedures of your espresso machine.
