SteppingUp - Landscaping

This transition program is designed to provide educational options for young people who need some time to decide whether to choose a vocational pathway to employment, or whether they want to set themselves a goal to get back into study and join a pathway to higher learning. It is a transition program which will prepare participants to stay engaged in education, support the development of literacy and numeracy skills, and increase confidence.

The learning will be delivered in a hands-on, project-based environment and will give participants important skills for a future career in the Landscaping or the Building and Construction Industries.

MakerSpace - Construction Pathway

This transition program is designed to provide educational options for young people who need some time to decide whether to choose a vocational pathway to employment, or whether they want to set themselves a goal to get back into study and join a pathway to higher learning, including University. 

It is a transition program which will prepare participants to stay engaged in education, support the development of literacy and numeracy skills, and increase confidence.

The learning will be delivered in a hands-on, project-based environment and will give participants important skills for a future career in the Building or Construction Industries.

Training will take place in our new “MakerSpace” facility which is equipped with a range of tools, machinery and materials to facilitate the hands-on learning approach, tapping into each student’s interests, skills and imagination.

Successful students will be awarded FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways and will have the opportunity to progress to a higher qualification with recognition of the units of competency already covered.

Certificate I in Access to Vocational Pathways (FSK10113)

This qualification aims to support learners to develop their literacy and numeracy skills to gain access into vocational qualifications.
We have a number of pathway programs to Jumpstart your learning including:
JumpStart - Retail Cosmetics
JumpStart - Building & Reno
JumpStart - Automotive
JumpStart - Hospitality

Certificate I in Hospitality (SIT10216)

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who participate in a range of routine and predictable hospitality work activities. They work under close supervision and are given clear directions to complete tasks.

This qualification provides a pathway to work in various hospitality settings, such as restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops.
Whilst we are not currently delivering Certificate I in Hospitality as a full qualification, a pathway program may be available for this industry through FSK10213 Certificate I in Access to Vocational Pathways.
For example, Fast Food Fridays is part of our LifeSkills Express Program and has been designed to cater for people with a disability who may want to move into supported employment.

This qualification provides the foundation skills and knowledge for individuals to safely perform digital literacy tasks using a personal computer and a range of software applications and digital devices.
This qualification is delivered as part of our Foundation Skills courses

Join us for this course and learn new computer skills for work in an office, a shop or any workplace that uses technology. We will support your learning and help you get ready for work.

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to commence work in the retail industry. 
Job roles 
Individuals with this qualification are able to perform roles, such as:

  • provide customer service in a retail store
  • organise and maintain work areas.

Whilst we are not currently delivering Certificate I in Retail as a full qualification, a pathway program may be available for this industry through FSK10213 Certificate I in Skills for Vocational Pathways

This qualification aims to develop literacy and numeracy skills alongside industry skills to provide a pathway into higher qualifications.

These programs are designed for people with Disabilities who may wish to enter supported employment or who are already in a workplace and would like to formalise their skills.

This qualification is designed for individuals who aren't sure of the career they want to pursue and want to try a variety of industry options or wish to begin a pathway to an industry qualification. Our SteppingUp and Pathway Programs are suitable for individuals who require a pathway to employment or vocational training requiring assistance and support for the development of reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication and learning skills.
