This course meets Food Safety Program requirements and covers safe food handling and safe storage, effective use of detergents and sanitisers, waste and pest control. Prepare & Serve Espresso Coffee

In this accredited course you will learn hands on preparation and presentation of coffees such as latte and cappuccino using a commercial espresso machine. Course includes organising your work area, providing customer service, grinding coffee, extracting coffee, texturing milk, serving coffee plus daily cleaning and maintenance procedures of your espresso machine. The unit SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety is a prerequisite to do this course.

National Qualifications

Certificate I in Hospitality (SIT10216)

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who participate in a range of routine and predictable hospitality work activities. They work under close supervision and are given clear directions to complete tasks.

This qualification provides a pathway to work in various hospitality settings, such as restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops.
Whilst we are not currently delivering Certificate I in Hospitality as a full qualification, a pathway program may be available for this industry through FSK10213 Certificate I in Access to Vocational Pathways.
For example, Fast Food Fridays is part of our LifeSkills Express Program and has been designed to cater for people with a disability who may want to move into supported employment.
